What is page authority?
Page authority is a 1-100 Moz score predicting how likely one specific URL is to rank in Google. It scores a single page, not the whole site.
Like domain authority, it is logarithmic and built from Moz's link data. Unlike DA, it responds to links pointing at that one URL, plus the internal links you send it from elsewhere on your own site.
That internal-link sensitivity makes PA the more actionable of the two. You cannot make other people link to you this afternoon. You can add three links from your strongest existing pages to the page you want ranking, and PA will reflect it after the next Moz index build.
Your homepage almost always has the highest PA on your site, because most external links point there. A blog post published last week typically sits 20 to 30 points below it. That gap closing over time is the clearest signal that a page is gaining traction.
The same caveat applies as with DA. Google does not use PA. It is Moz's model of what Google might do, and it is built only from links - no content signals, no user behavior, no relevance scoring.
RankPulse tracks PA for the homepage of each domain you monitor and emails you when it moves. $9 a month, 3 domains. It is a monitor, not an analyzer - it reports the change and leaves the diagnosis to you.
