  Domain authority updates when Moz rebuilds its link index, roughly every 3 to 5 weeks. Between rebuilds your score does not move at all.

• Why did my domain authority drop?

  Your domain authority usually drops because you lost backlinks or because Moz recalibrated its index and the whole scale shifted under you.
