What the four numbers mean
Domain Authority
Moz's 1 to 100 prediction of how likely the whole domain is to rank. It is scored on a curve against every site Moz has indexed, so 40 is roughly the top 10% of the web, not a middling grade.
Page Authority
The same idea applied to one URL instead of a domain. It moves faster than DA because a single page can earn links on its own.
Spam Score
The percentage of sites with a similar link profile that Moz has seen penalised or dropped by Google. It is a comparison against other sites, not a verdict on yours.
Backlinks
How many links Moz has found pointing at the domain. Counts differ between tools because every tool crawls a different slice of the web.

Where does this data come from?
Moz, through their API. These are Moz's own figures, not an estimate of them. That is why the Domain Authority here matches what you would see inside a Moz product.
Does Google use Domain Authority?
No. DA is Moz's model, built to predict rankings, and Google has said repeatedly it uses no such score. It is useful as a stable proxy you can track over time, not as a ranking factor.
How often do these numbers change?
Moz recomputes its index roughly every three to five weeks, so DA and PA move in steps rather than daily. Backlink counts shift more often. A single check tells you today's figure, not whether it moved.
Is there a limit?
Three checks a day without an account. Every check costs a paid API call, so the cap keeps the free tool free.
