Who we are
RankPulse, a service operated from the United Kingdom, is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: support@rankpulse.dev.
What we collect and why
Account data - your email address and a hashed password (if you set one), used to operate your account and send the emails you have enabled (alerts, weekly digests, billing notices). We never store passwords in plain text.
Usage data - the domains you track and their metric history, your alert preferences, and IP addresses for rate limiting of the free checker, sign-ups, and logins (legitimate interest: abuse prevention).
Payment data - payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, never your card details.
We use Google Analytics to measure how the site is used - which pages people visit and where they arrived from. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google aggregated usage data. We use no advertising cookies and we do not sell or share your data for advertising. The only other browser storage we use is a login token kept in your browser's local storage.
Who processes data for us
We use Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Railway (hosting and database), RapidAPI/Moz (domain metrics for the domains you submit) and Google Analytics (site usage measurement). Domain names you submit are shared with the metric provider to perform the lookup; your account identity is not.
Retention
Account data and tracked-domain history are kept while your account exists and are deleted when you delete your account from the account page. Rate-limit logs are kept for up to 12 months. Billing records are retained as required by accounting law.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR - and the EU GDPR where it applies to you - you can access, correct, export, or erase your personal data, and object to or restrict processing. You can delete your account yourself from the account page, or email support@rankpulse.dev for any request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will notify you by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
