How often does domain authority update?

So DA moves in steps, not curves. A chart of your DA over a year looks like a staircase with 10 to 15 stairs, not a smooth line. Anyone showing you daily DA fluctuation is showing you noise or a different metric.

Moz does not publish a fixed calendar for index updates and the gap does vary. Treat 3 to 5 weeks as the working range, not a guarantee.

One consequence worth knowing: a DA drop after an index update might have nothing to do with your site. Moz recalibrates the whole scale so the distribution stays stable. If the web as a whole gained links and you stayed flat, you can slide down a point without losing anything.
